Banned on HPC 21/12/2010! Hi to anyone who knew me from there!
As soon as I start to suggest that waiting for house prices to crash was a mistake, and that I would be buying middle of next year. BAM.. I cant post anymore. What does that tell you???
Cheers. I never read sigs.
Looks like the fella is still hurting from his ban0 -

It's something to have firmly in your mind when reading what they write, these are not winners in life, they havent made £100ks on the stock market through their amazing financial knowledge, though they would have you think they are that smart. No, I'd go as far as saying they are life's losers.
Its a bit sad really, if only they actually spent as much time grafting as they do moaning about their lot. They would get that promotion or start that new business and actually succeed in life and be able to afford that house easily.
I don't have any problem with your comment about getting on in life and doing what one can to get ahead and increase one's remuneration in whatever form or size that comes in. I do however find your comments about house prices and renters laughable to the point where your credibility has become literally nil in my view. This is because:
1. People are rarely "renters" or "owners" permanently which makes the use of those labels very naive.
2. There is no right or wrong as such in either scenario - some people want exposure to house price movement and some don't (or have a legal obligation to pay off debts imposed on them as a kind of "savings plan")
Personally I have owned property in the past, will very probably do so again at some point in the future and think perhaps that your naive and judgemental attitude smack of insecurity. What a waste of bandwidth.

I think this is a good post.
To me it seems the baby boomers had the fire in their belly and would make a go of it. The new buyers seem to be gutless and lazy. Just get on with it. Buy and stop moaning. If you are on this forum the chances are you are just average normal person.
You are never going to be Bill Gates so just get on with it.
"Success with money has become intimately connected with inflation – people have got rich not through productive, wealth-creating activity, but because they bought a house or stock at a time when general asset prices were rising. We have confused talent with being bullish."

Aren't they all.
Compelled to ask the question, isn't it strange how people who claim to be so sure and certain that there has been no and will be no crash in house prices are compelled to spend significant portions of their time attempting to validate their received opinions on the internet.0 -

I do remember you being a far more prolific poster Fubra.
Until we found out you were a HPC Bear as far back as 2003, became bullish, bought in spring 2007, and even then only bought half a house (the other half of which you continue to rent) through the joys of some goverment scheme.
Therefore ensuring that pretty much every embittered personal attack you could make towards any bearish poster could readily be thrown back in your face.

Who knows in HPC, as for some reason you've be petrified of confirming your old username.
I guess what I'm saying is, you're a hypocrite.0 -

I think you get a little confused over this.
We were members of a website. We told the bears prices would never crash.
Now we were proved to be right they banned us instead of taking their medicine.
Believe me the only really anyone is gutted about getting banned is because they wanted to give the HPC gang a big dose of I told you so.
You are worse than anyone on here. You flit from HPC to here trying to stir things up. At the end of the day you rent and pay your landlords mortgage off. You don't like the fact that you are making the people rich that you hate so much.
Have a nice day. Just think, all this week you will be working to pay your rent.We love Sarah O Grady0 -

How about telling everybody about you changing your status on HPC from bull to neither?
