Tick symbol??

Hi everyone and a very happy new year to you all!

Could someone please help me? I am trying to make a tick symbol on a document, but haven't a clue how to do it.

I am trying to do it on the computer, but do not know what buttons to use to write this.

Could anyone help me please?

Are you using Word?
If so, go to insert...symbol....change the font to Wingdings & the tick symbol is on the bottom row 4th from the right (or it is on my version of word!)

In the new version of office (2007) its 221A then Alt+X

you can also assign a shortcut key to the symbol. click the button for shortcut key and type in the key strokes you require ( EG i use alt + #)

you can then use this shortcut in your word documents.
