Photo Editing

JSP Posts: 38 Forumite
Hi,

I wondered if someone could help me.

I want to edit a photo, all I want to do is cut out someone in a picture and then paste it on top of another (to make them look like they are somewhere else).

As it's only one picture I obviously don't want to buy an editing package.

Does anyone know if there is a good free (simple) down load that would be good to use.

Thanks for reading

Paint.net is probably a good place to start. (You want the 'Get it now' link at the top-right of the page.)

    Agree 100% Paint.NET is a great & FREE program

    Steps to follow

Load the photograph you want to cut out from
F5 to bring up tools Menu
Use the Lasso button (2nd down on the left)
Draw around the person to cut out
    Click copy
    Open new image
Click paste and adjust size as required, using corner boxes
Save as a new image (jpg file)

    All done !

For just a one-off, I'd be tempted to use an online editor, e.g:
