I've been in my current one for 9 and a half years; that's the longest ever. My first proper job was 6 years, then I left to have DS and didn't work again for 5 years and did a year here and there doing different stuff, til I got into this one and haven't budged since. Not sure whether that's a good or bad thing. It means I@m very good at my job, but bored to death.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I started as a Saturday girl at 16, went full time at 18, and only left when I was 30 because one of my children is disabled and needs a lot of care. I still pop into work sometimes and have a chat.0

I've done 2 jobs since leaving uni, 1st one 4.5 years, 2nd 5.5 years and counting. But I have had 21 months maternity leave (over 2 children) in that time (both with second employer). Can't see myself leaving current job anytime soon, job prospects are not great for those who don't want to work full time...

I was in continuous employment with one firm for over 12 years, my job within the company changed 3 times and I was eventually 'poached' by another company because of a specific talent that I had.0
