    Good evening folks,

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the weekend. A spend day for me today due to the joys of grocery shopping, but I fully intend getting one more NSD and reaching my target by Sunday! Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend and hopefully the sun makes a guest appearance!
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Had to post some eBay items today but since the buyers were paying for P&P I'm counting this as NSD #10.

Flying through on my first visit to MSE since last Thursday/Friday (not even sure when I was last on!). I know I need to start catching up from post #807, which means over 200 posts to scan ;)

Friday 17th was a spend day - loads and loads of stuff in clearance as I left work, so I stocked up for fun ;)

Saturday was another spend day as I went out for veg (and dessert) for having my chap over for Sunday tea (didn't arrange it until too late on Friday for me to do it at the same time)

Sunday was an NSD - and I ended up cooking for myself as chap wasn't well (and I had his Sunday roast for tea on Monday)

    Monday was an NSD

    Tuesday was an NSD

Wednesday was another Whoopsie shopping day

Thursday (yesterday) was a megga spend day, with a vet bill of just under £216

Today should been another NSD (though I was seriously tempted to go back down to work for cake/biscuits/chocolate before they closed, as I just want to 'emotional eat'), but it was scuppered by a D/Debit I've just spotted went out of the bank this morning.

Looking at the front page, it appears the last NSD that I logged was #7, so the 3 I've managed in the last 8 days takes me up to NSD #10

Even with a bank holiday weekend looming I'm not sure I'll manage to reach my target (despite the certainty of no more D/Debits going out until Tuesday)

I want to try and get hold of some running gear (don't know what they're called, but they're like tubi-grips for the legs that are made of material almost like a wet suit from what I've seen from a distance - hoping this will stop my shin split from giving me twinges quite as much) and I think my best chance is to try some 'local' (need to use a bus to get to) running/sports shops tomorrow. And I know there's a 99% chance that a few things (from the cake side of the bakery) that I've been wanting to try for a while are hitting reductions in the next few days...... unfortunately some on Sunday and some on Monday and not all on the same day, so I may not clock up a single NSD :o

I've had one heck of an emotional rollercoaster the last couple of weeks (hence my absence), and am keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not going to get anything else thrown at me any time soon as I'm not sure how much more I can take at the moment while still 'holding things together'......

Firstly my best mate was told about 3 weeks ago he has bowel cancer. Then he was rushed into hospital 9 days ago (on his birthday!) with what they initially thought was appendicitis, but decided after 3 days was actually linked to his cancer. On Monday they finally started running some tests, and on Tuesday he was told he also has it in his bladder - so their main concern is stopping it spreading to kidneys and prostate. He'll shortly be starting chemo twice a week for 3-6 months, but in the meantime is having to self-inject something every 3 days.

Then I've got the dog who had a lump removed yesterday which 'may' be cancer as he's apparently 'the right age to start developing the disease' (he's almost 8.5). Results on the lump should be back in a week, and in the meantime the rehoming is on hold. If the results don't bring bad news, then I've just got to keep my fingers crossed that the bloke still wants to take him. But if it's bad news and on-going treatment is needed I can't see the bloke being interested (and I can't afford it) so this is still hanging over me/us for at least another week. But this has proven to me that if it's still an option that's on the table I have to let him go, 'cos I can't go through the wringer like this again.

And last Saturday afternoon I suddenly realised that (this last) Monday would have been my Wedding Anniversary if I hadn't lost my hubby to cancer (that dreaded 'C' word again). It didn't bother me last year, but with the other things added to it I found it hit me like a sledge-hammer this year. And tomorrow would have been his birthday, so it looks like I've got 3 days on my own over another difficult weekend.

Seriously beginning to think it's time to call time on my current relationship, especially as I'm not even sure I can call it that. Not seen him in 12 days now (since he threw a hissy fit about my looking at rehoming the dog) and he's working the next 2 days but 'not sure about Monday yet'. I've done a shift swap to cover a week on Sunday (which gives me 6 days straight of work from then until the Friday), in return for which I've got next Monday off as there's a total overtime ban on at the moment. One reason I agreed to it was 'cos I didn't think there'd be any chance of him being asked to work that day with it being a bank holiday (whereas he's been working almost every Sat & Sun since I started 'seeing' him), but it appears I was wrong and I probably won't know until after he gets home from work on Sunday.

So that's an update on me. Quite possibly won't be back for another few days, while I try and keep myself busy doing nothing until I'm back at work on Tuesday......

Did have a little spend on a prescription today because my eczema is bad at the moment but I'm not going to count it because there was no avoiding it if that's ok? If that's ok its no.6 for me
