Its also known that local branches may hold some of the details, and the data depts do not on details prior to the last 6 years.

Thanks Di, the application was made directly by telephone at the time, so unfortunately there was no branch involved.

I would have thought that if a customer provided them with sufficient personal details they would have some kind of search system but its not to their advantage to help in this regard!

I'll hunt about to see if I can trace any more details.
