Bluestar Taxis in Wigan

I pre-booked a taxi on New Years Eve from a house party in Wigan for 2 o'clock. Now, this taxi company will call your mobile to let you know they are outside, which they did do at 2 mins to 2.
As I went outside, at 1 minute past 2, he'd gone. I phoned the taxi firm up to complain he's gone and was told 'you weren't outside and he's not coming back'. Deadful, considering we had 2 kids with us and were 4 miles from home. It's not like you can walk it!
Yes, I know they are busy, but not to wait more than a minute for people to get their coats and say goodbye on New Years Eve REALLY peed me off, especially as they are generally late anyway.
Don't be fooled by their chirpy adverts on the radio!
RANT OVER!

dont blame him for going .
If he texted you at 2 mins to and left at 1min past then he was waiting 3 mins.Could you not have gone outside and told him you would be out in a minute.
if every fare made him wait that length of time ,over the course of the evening he could end up an hour or so late for a fare.0 -

I did go outside and acknowledge him. Didn't go to the car, just to the front door. I don't think 3 minutes is an excessive length of time to be waiting. I've waited for half an hour before, for them to come to me. What should I have done in that situation, phoned another company and not cancelled my original taxi?Nothing can compareTo when you roll the dice and swear your love's for me0 -
so you waited half an hour for a taxi once it doesn't change anything. You went out late and he had gone.He got his side of contract right, you are the one at fault.
How would you like it if bluestar taxis started a thread on here moaning about you not being on time.
dont be fooled by customers who book a taxi for 2am they really want it for 1 minute past.0 -

I'd be more than happy for them to post on here and discuss it with me. At least they couldn't put the phone down on me as I tried to discuss it with them!!Nothing can compareTo when you roll the dice and swear your love's for me0
