open the fuse box, look at the top and find the 3 amp fuse its with 2 others or 1 other on some models right at the top of the fuse box, you need to get it right down to see, this blows if you have had any alternator issues throwing the battery light, also there is a sensor wire, blue I think on the alternator, it needs a good clean connection.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Any other suggestions please0

Have you checked what was suggested and cleaned all contacts? Sounds like a connection issue to me if this hasn't resolved it, start checking your wiring.0

ok drove it yesterday, started off and batterry light came on. then it went off and stayed off for whole journey of about 15 miles.
it starts fine and drives fine.
started it again later and light back on again.
Even the mechanic is puzzled. Any other thoughts? all connections etc have been checked by mechanic has new battery and new alternator which is charging when tested by mechanic meter.0 -
do you have the right alternator for the car
is your engine the endura pushrod with basic charger
or later Duratec with smart charge?0 -
Its the duratec engine, Alternator was fitted by a experienced mechanic so guess its the right one. 90amp i think it was.0
