panasonic kx-tg8522 mute button

i've just purchased the panasonic twin tg8522 and can i heck find the mute button, it shows a symbol in the instructions but it doesn't say where it is, does anyone have this model and could maybe point me in the right direction ( model number could end with 8521- 8522-8523-8524)

On this phone, what does the mute button do? Does it prevent the other person on the call from hearing you or does it turn off the microphone AND the speaker>0

Might have same model no number on the phone itself but yours looks a revamped wider receiver.
Must be ok weve had it at least 18 months, the longest we have ever had one working.
Lower right of joystick is mute.
Lower left is speaker phone.0
