Grand Prix Rant

Is anyone else annoyed that next years Grand Prix circuit will be shared between BBC and Sky ?
This, presumably, means that many people, (myself included) will only be able to watch 50% of next seasons races ?
Yes, we have sky - but are not going to fork out over £12 per month on a Sport upgrade, just to add Grand Prix to the, already too expensive subscription - unless Murdoch sets up a free "stand alone" Grand Prix channel - extremely unlikely ?
That's my rant over with (for the time being) !!

It doesn't bother me at all, it has always cost too much for the relatively small number of viewers that watch it. I've got my fingers crossed that Top Gear goes next.0

I used to watch Grands Prix on a regular basis, never missing one. However over the past few years it has become boring, due mainly to the lack of overtaking and as a result my interest has waned. This year is not much better with 'artificial' overtaking, providing the folowing car is within one second in a pre designated zone when he can open a 'letter box' in the rear wing and zoom past. The car being overtaken has no chance to respond.
Im my opinion the changes will wean me off the Men Driving Cars Fast, sorry Grands Prix, as I have no intention of lining Rupert Murdoch with yet more money. To Dare is To Do:beer:0 -
start watching MotoGP and Moto 2 if you want exciting racing...motorbikes are much more exciting anyway...No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0

I'm gutted. I've been watching formula 1 for the last 2 years and haven't missed a race, I love it. I have loved watching it on BBC with no adverts. Why did they outbid ITV and then jump into bed with sky. I would have put up with watching th ads on ITV but I'm sure I won't be paying to watch it on sky. No doubt they will make you have the full sky sports package instead of just subscribing to one of the sports channels, usual trick. First race on sky sports 1 and then next race on sky sports 2 or 3. Well I won't be paying for it. Might have to look into redirecting the dish which was suggested in another forum I read0

Go and see some live rally stages - Grand Prix is VERY DULL compared with watching a bunch of nutters in bonkers cars blatting round the Welsh mountains far too fast ;-)0

im a big f1 fan and havent yet decided about nxt year yet kinda grudge paying for sky sports but thats a decision that can be made next year

I am annoyed about it. Not for my sake as I don't watch it but my mom and dad love it. They're pensioners and can't see them forking out the extra to watch it.
How long does the season last, is it a couple of months?

Just watch one of the many foreign web feeds while listening to the commentary on the radio.
Jobs a good 'un :-D0 -
I'm gutted too, I love Formula One and now we are pensioners we've got more vital things to spend our money on. We gave up Sky about two years ago and haven't missed it so far.0

Brightens my weekends up when there's a race on and I've been an armchair fan for years. Wouldn't pay more than I already pay for a TV licence to watch it though. OH will be pleased and I'll have to find another excuse instead of "I'll do it after the race."
