Has anyone else recently switched to npower go fix 6? My supply went live on 22nd July and I have yet to receive an account number or any correspondence (other than the usual preamble pre supply) through the post. I have also had no word on how much the monthly DD amount will be. It's a bit annoying considering all other switches I've done I've promptly received all details on or prior to the supply going live.To anyone who has previously switched to npower, how long did it take them to send the account details through after your supply went live?

It's almost exactly the same for me. I'm still awaiting the switch to GoFix 6 to be finalised and I had to phone them to get more info. But the way they're managing the switch is appalling.

Still no DD set up by npower or any details of account number yet and no response to my email. Appalling customer service.

Swipe I'm in the same position as you are but I didn't go live until 27th July. Scottish Power did take their monthly direct debit on 1st August and I've not yet had a final bill from them. Perhaps I should have cancelled SP direct debit.

So far I am not impressed with NPower's service. I had been with Scottish Power for years and never had a problem but the price hike was huge for me and I can't afford to be ripped off.

Yes, I too had a DD taken by SP on 1st Aug. I have since cancelled it as I'm now £75 in credit and my final bill will be no more than £20. It really is shoddy service on npower's part. If they had given SP the opening meter reading when I sent it to them I would have received a final bill from SP already. On all other switches I've received account details and info about the DD promptly so there's no excuse for npower. At least I can take solice that it's not just me and there are others in the same boat.

I switched to coop energy on 21st July, everything going smoothly at the moment, already have online account and know our DD payments based on last years kw usage.

By the end of the month I'll be npower free after 4 years, I'm afraid they are well known for extremely poor customer service. They are 6th out of the Big 6, maybe search this forum for more ..

I've switched fron Eon to nPower Gofix 6. So far nPower have taken the first DD for the elec switch but the gas switch hasn't gone through. When I phoned Npower (for the 3rd time), asking for an update on the gas switch, they blamed Eon, then they blamed me for not giving them (nPower) a closing reading, although I did and on the date they asked me to. I've had my final bill from Eon, which was correct, so no bad marks for them. I can't set up online billing as nPower's system won't accept the account number they gave me. All in all it's a bit of a shambles!

My electric switched on 25th and the gas 2 days later on 27th. I supplied NPower the meter readings for both on 26th online as requested so hopefully they have these!
I had set aside the normal DD amount for SP to take on 1st August as a precaution but that has not been taken. However I did notice that a second SP DD authorisation had appeared without an associated account number. Initially I assumed this to be an online banking glitch as it made no sense. This was on Monday 1st.

Then on Thursday 4th I again checked my online banking. There are now 2 SP DDs in addition to the old DD. I assume they have set these up to finalise the gas and electric sides of the account seperately. Not sure why they want to do it this way but then power companies are not known for being logical!

At the same time I noticed that a DD for NPower had been set up so I guess I'm simply waiting for a letter informing me of the start date and amount of the payments - fingers and toes crossed!

Is there an Official MSE Npower Customer representative that comes on here? If so could you please chirp in to reassure us that is this normal npower practice.

It would be nice to know if anyone has resolved their problems any quicker this way ?

I arrived home this evening to find the direct debit notification for the electric side of the switch arrived in the post today. First payment is set for September 1st and the amount is approximately what I'd expect based on my annual usage for Go Fix 6.

As the gas switched 2 days later I assume I'll be notified of the payment amount for that early next week - fingers and toes still crossed!
