Depends whether he wants one of these

or one of these

or a standard trike.
Sorry I can't help much as I have no experience with trikes, although I've fancied having a go on the Piaggio MP3 just to see what it is like, but I have been threatened with being disowned if I do0 -
The only three wheeled motorbikes i've seen are those like Billy Connolly rides.
I don't like the look of that piaggio one, it seems more natural to have the double wheels at the back.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Why does he want a trike specifically?
I'd be more inclined to go for a car based thing, like the Morgan style 3 wheelers. A proper trike has all the downsides of a car, gets stuck in traffic etc so no point having a slow one! The scooter linked to above is the only other solution really.
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
I've seen the piaggio outside the local motorbike dealers, I can see them being useful if your not confident on 2 wheels but at nearly £6k you may as well just buy a car.0

One obvious difference between having a trike or 3 wheeled bike and a car is, you need a bike licence for a trike, a car licence for a trike.
As it is the 125cc 3 wheeler they are looking at, I suspect it will just be the piaggio type or similar that the OP is looking for.0 -
It looks good but, ....
from £15k to £20k why would you do it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
