Hidden Damage to car

Hello
I have just bought a car from a reputable car franchise second hand.
Upon collection I inspected the car and found no damage. When I got home I noticed that there was damage to the alloy wheels which was not apparant on the inspection. Now either the dealer has tried to repair the damage but is has not worked or they have deliberetly hidden the damage from me hoping I wouldnt notice it.
I live a long way from the garage so going back is not an option.
How do I stand on repairs?

How can they repair it if you dont take it back?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

How could you have not seen the alloys they after all part of the car and if unless they hid the wheels in big set of car slippers I think you may just like it or lump it, They may offer a gesture of goodwill but I think you will have to suffer it as you clearly failed to notice it when inspecting the car, and also they could say you done the damage after taking it from them.0

never seen a filler repair on an alloy?0 -
You may see some dodgy paint touch up though !0
-
We touch up alloys with silver paint along the edges to take your eye off any kerb marks etc.
However, as you don't want to take the car back due to the distance I can't see how you can reject it as they will want to see the car and take the car back.
You say you inspected the car upon collection and could see no damage (and would have signed the invoice to say so), but when you got home you could see damage.
A quick phone call to the dealer asking for help would be the first port of call, rather than screaming saying you want to reject the car!!
Even if you did phone them, they will probably want to see the wheel anyway, which means a trip back to them. Unless you put your spare on and post them your wheel?
One final point, the distance thing is irrelavent as YOU chose to buy the car from them. They didn't force you to buy the car. You knew the distance when you were buying it, so you should be prepared to go back should there be any faults...0 -
Where does the OP say he wants to reject the car?
OP as said you should phone the dealer first and air your complaint to them, you never know they may want to resolve it with a new wheel, of course you would more than likely have to go back to them0 -
OP, what and where exactly is this "hidden" damage and what makes you believe the dealer "deliberately" tried to cover it up?0
-
Me thinks OP expects a 2nd hand car to be in factory condition.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Why on earth did you buy a car from a garage where going back for repairs 'is not an option'? And now you're asking what your options are?"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

how about the most common option.
it's a second hand car and the alloys have been damaged by a previous owner and they've tried to repair them. Why is it the garage that's tried to repair them or hide the damage?
you went to view a second hand car, you inspected it and didn't mention it... which would say you accepted the condition of the alloys.
Trying to claim the garage did it on a second hand car with x owners is just trying to convince yourself that it's their fault you didn't see it.0
