Adammum, this charity might be able to help you:
http://www.childrentoday.org.uk/
Their aim:
Children Today is the charity that raises funds to provide specialised equipment for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK. Our aim is to ensure that every disabled child and young person fulfils their potential and leads an active childhood.
......
Many people assume that a child or young person with a disability would automatically receive the equipment they need. Sadly, this is not the case.
Many families are unable to get the help they need from local health authorities for major items related to their child’s disabilities such as specialised mobility equipment. This means that because of budget constraints or delays, many families have no alternative but to purchase the items themselves, if they can afford it.
This is where Children Today can help. We provide specialised equipment to improve, assist and enhance the lives of children and young people with disabilities.

Cerebra do grants for epilepsy I know a few folk who have had grants for epileptic children.
Family fund will also help though it tends to be only if he receives middle rate care DLA and above and they have income thresholds.
What area are you in? Cash for kids is a charity that some radio stations have and they are very good for help.
What about doing a facebook auction? They are very popular and one I took part in recently was very successful.0 -
Our BIG day is finally here: well, in a few hours time.
Please visit our sons website above for a facebook link for updates and pictures of our walk tomorrow 27/8 and 28/08 - thank you to everyone for your kind support0 -
My youngest son's school went to the expense of getting him a slightly cheaper version of a safe space room for him to go to when things got too much...only for him to prefer the stock cupboard as he didn't like the feel/acoustics of the room within a room!
Thereafter, the cupboard became Jxx's cupboard....the room within a room didn't go to waste though, they have used it for other children with similar needs/difficulties.
Good luck OP, hope your fundrasing goes well.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Sorry to have taken so long to reply!
Our walk was a great success and we raised over £5000 for Adam specially adapted bedroom. He is loving every minute of it. He is sleeping better and we all play with him together without fear of him hurting himself. It is rather cosy and soft yet still very sturdy and strong.
Thanks for all the support and advice.0 -
I couldn't get the link to work, but so glad that your son now has his safe space x0
