flamingo land

Got in touch with Flamingo land to see if they give discounts to charity or free passes. Reply was no. They did point out discounts in magazines though.

Its a pity that they dont at least give a discount to charity as most theme parks and attractions do.

In fairness they did point out discounts in magazines, why not buy some mags and use the vouchers? Or if you are talking about a field trip for disadvantages kids, ask about group prices? Some of these places don't automagically allow charity discounts as there are some totally unrelated charities out there (public schools are frequently charities, so would you give Eton kids a discount on those grounds? Ditto the universities.) that they don't see a need to subsidise.

Its always difficult for an organisation to respond positively, due to the volume of requests they receive.

You either have to discriminate between good causes (a policy of so many charitable visits per year or a charity budget) with the risk of causing offence or you have to say No to all.

Its more difficult nowadays with the increase in number of charities/good causes . The small business where I sometimes work, receive several requests a week for donations of goods and services. They just can't give away that much money.

Dont see the problem, if they don't want to offer discounts then that's up to them
