Not money saving but......

I am sure that some of you will be aware of the outcry re the Australian cattle being slaughtered in Indonesia.
Came across this today and here in the UK we are no better!!!!!

We are supposed to be an animal loving, civilised country and this is going on.
Just what is wrong with the FSA and DEFRA.
As for the slaughter monsters-nothing more than sad, pathetic bully boys who can only get pleasure from making animals last breaths as torturous as possible.

This is quite appalling but I'm not surprised. It's happened before and they just get away with it.
    Abattoirs need glass walls!

    Haven't watched it.

I stopped eating meat about 20 years ago - I just could not bring myself to eat an animal who's last hours (and sometimes days) were spent terrified out of their minds travelling to their death. I'm not against eating animals but I don't think we should torture it first.

I saw that and it is pretty horrific.

I do eat meat so I'm not in any position of moral superiority but I do think that behaviour was utterly appalling. Personally, I've been struggling with eating pork recently due to the fact that pigs share a lot of characteristics with dogs and when you're looking at your dogs excitedly greeting you when you come back from somewhere it starts to nag. After this incident, I can't see myself eating pork again if only because I don't wish to support an industry where this behaviour is allowed to go on due to beaurocratic bullcrap.
