Pc sent for repair - returned damaged - unusable - please help

Good result, but if they're supplying a replacement pc with all new parts, then surely it would be a 12mth warranty?Move along, nothing to see.0

They aren't obligated to give any extension on the original warranty, so no, I think it's excellent that they're giving a replacement PC and giving an extended 6 month warranty.
If you get anything repaired under warranty there's not usually any extension given to your original warranty expiration date... otherwise cheeky people would have "faults" appear on their items every 11months to get a free replacement for life.
Of course if a company feels that the customer has had a bad experience they might well give something extra for some additional reassurance and hopefully they'll get repeat business plus maybe some excellent reviews on the web!

It was just something that occurred to me, I agree about the warranty on a repaired machine, but this is a completely new pc........with a new system of equal valueMove along, nothing to see.0

I had always believed it's at the discretion of the retailer as to whether they repair, replace or refund when a product has passed a certain period (28 days or is it now a case of you've used and accepted the goods?) but the end result is the same regarding the remaining guarantee period - it remains the same as when you bought the original product.
