No electricity in shed?

Hmmm not impressed today to find that the brick built shed in our new property doesn't even have an electric light in it

We're moving to a terraced house (middle of three) in 2 weeks time but only today discovered there is no light in the shed (which is attached to the end of the first property).

Feeling stupid and annoyed with ourselves that we didn't check it out before......Kind of imagined it was standard to at least light it?

In the grand scheme of things I guess its only a minor mishap

dont forget, dont do this yourself if you are going to wire it up.

Personally I would get an electrician to do this. Its always nice in a shed to have a spot for the radio and also for the strimmer/ mower/ hedge cutter, instead of traipsing the filthy wires through the house.

but then Im a clean freak what can I say
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • I laid a cable down the garden and into my garage, then fitted all the lights and sockets.
Then I got a professional sparks in to connect to the house and check my wiring. Saved a lot of money doing it that way..
  • I'm thinking this will have to be done professionally - electricity is scary!

Whats annoying is I believe the "sheds" were once part of the flats the houses were converted from so there was electricity out there once!

Lynz....I'm just thinking it'll be nicer for the OH to have light so he can read his book out there before he goes to sleep every night!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Or maybe I'll let him in on Sunday nights?!!!! ;)
