Wii Questions!

Hello fellow Wiiers and Wii Followers,

I have a couple of questions about the console:

1. Can you save Gamecube save games onto the SD card/ internal memory, or do you need an actual Gamecube memory card?

2. Can the Wii Classis Controller be used in place of a Gamcube controller for gamecube games, or would I need to purchase a Gamecube controller?

Thanks!

Sorry I don't know the answer to your first question, because I haven't tried saving any games yet.

The answer to your second question though is no, the Wii remote cannot be use in place of a gamecube controller you would need to buy one seperatly, but you should be able to pick up a cheap compatable controller from somewhere like Toys R Us for about £8 at most :)
  • Thanks for our reply, but I don't mean the remote, I mean the 'classic' controller that you can buy separately. Sorry!
  • Anyone!?...........

    1)No and 2)No, I'm afraid.

To save gamecube games you need a gamecube memory card, you can't use the internal memory. And you need a gamecube controller to play gamecube games, you can't use either the Wiimote or the Classic Controller.

Also, be careful as there are reports of some 3rd party gamecube memory cards getting stuck in the Wii.
