Registering cordless phones

I have just received twin Gigaset C475 phones. I read the instructions, which seem simple, but I have a couple of questions, and the only number to ask them is a 0845 (tried the alternatives, they don't work).
So to my questions: You are supposed to charge the hansets for 5 hours, then let them become flat again before placing them on the base. Now, after those first 5 hours, can you leave them on the base (overnight, for instance), or you have to remove them?
And how do you do with the second handset, charge it at the same time, or after the main one is ready?
Before I had bought two Panasonic ones and the registration never worked, so I want to get things right this time.
Thanks for any help!

If they came as a twin set, they should already be registered with the base station.
I'd just charge them both up overnight before using them.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks, I have just put them to charge.... now not sure if they are registering or not... touched some of the buttons while inserting batteries (!!!) and the base one is showing a globe, while the second one is sending me to their support site!!!0
