Hi everyone,

Wondering of someone can help me on Excel i dont know if IF statements can do this BUT
if you look @ this image!




well what it is i need the spreadsheet to automatcally work out the discount for example "Example Jhon" spent 29.99 and i want the spreadsheet to work out the discount automatcally for 15% i know IF statmenet can do this but i need it to work out what discount theyll get

Each price is going to be diffrent for example if someone spend 50 they would get 25% off i need excel to figure out what discount thell get automatcally

Assuming that the cell containing First Name is A1, try the forumla

in cell D2 the formula should be =$C2*(1-15%)

in cell E2 the formula should be =$C2*(1-25%)

in cell F2 the formula should be =$C2*(1-50%)

Put the formulas in the cells then change the format to NUMBER, excel is bound to try and be clever by changing the format to percentage.

in cell E2 the formula should be =IF(AND($C2>=40,$C2<=50),$C2*(1-20%),0)

in cell F2 the formula should be =IF(AND($C2>=50,$C2<=60),$C2*(1-25%),0)

cell D2 give a discount if the amount spent is between 30 and 40
cell E2 give a discount if the amount spent is between 40 and 50
cell F2 give a discount if the amount spent is between 50 and 60

You can change these figures to suite your needs.
