Im in a similar situation, I currently am looking for a new career in a Financial environment, but I have no clue where to start. I dont really fancy working in a bank after reading the comments above, apart from the fact that they dont pay too well.
Just out of interest how old are you Kanchhelskis? Im 26 and feel that I have maybe left it too late for a total career change."£2012 in 2012 Challenge", £14.68/£2012":j0 -
I'm currently training in order to (hopefully) eventually qualify as an IFA. I'm lucky enough to be working for somebody who is willing to pay for my training through the CII (http://www.cii.co.uk).
I'm currently working my way through their Certificate in Financial Planning qualification (still with several exams in that qualification left to go), and am presuming that beyond that my best bet would be the Diploma in Financial Planning (or, optionally, mortgage advisor qualifications).
Am I correct in assuming that this is a valid route to take, with an eye to eventually qualifying as an IFA?Anything I post here is purely my own personal opinion. As such it may be wrong, poorly worded or written very tongue-in-cheek. Please therefore treat it the same way you should treat anything you read on the internet from an unknown person - with a healthy pinch of salt and scepticism!0
