Which Savings account for me?

So I've decided that this year I'm going to start saving, but Im not sure whats the best method for me.
I plan on putting a set amount every month from my salary into the account, but along with other fairly random amounts.
Over the last month-ish I've managed to sell off a load of old games and DVDs and the like on Ebay/Amazon and I've made around £800 so far.
I'm also hoping to get some "freelance" contract working going so some months there could be money coming from that.
So bascialy I'm going to be putting a minimum amount in every month, but some months it could be more.
I guess idealy I'd like something I can setup my Amazon Marketplace/PayPal account to automaticaly debt.
Anyone got any recomendations?

If your looking at saving every month, then have a look at the various regular savers. My fav is the LTSB 8/0%AER fixed for 2 years, but another worth looking at is the A+L 12% (1year)
On the Ebay Pay Pal one I think you would need a current account for that rather than a savings account0
