Silver Lilly {hug}
just to echo the excellent advice you've already had ....take things slowly .
As for starting your own business ,I'm in total agreement with moggins. My hubby and I have our own ltd company and it takes up a great deal of my time.Don't get me wrong, it is very rewarding but somedays I do have to put everything on the backburner homewise and just concentrate on the business stuff..........and to be honest with you sometimes it does get me down......please don't think I'm trying to put you off because as I said it is, on the whole very rewarding....moggins advice on this is excellent( and put far more eloquently than I could've).
I find all the posters on the OS forum so inspirational and even though I rarely post ,I often read through the forum for my daily fix of inspiration.( they've helped me far more than they could possibly know )
So the only advice I can really offer is have a good read through the forum when you sit down and have a coffee and get your daily dose of inspiration
TL this did make me giggle
Hey - there's no point having "She kept a tidy house" on your tombstone, is there?"Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.

I just think more structure to the day might stop me running around keeping things just so and then leaving no time to relax.when i do stop i am up within a few minutes doing something else.
Hi Silver Lilly,
As a person who likes to be in control, I have learnt over the years (and still do each day) that you have to ' do your best and then let go' we aren't robots and I have days when I can take the world on and others when I want to curl up with a book and do nothing. Go with your own instincts and don't be too hard on yourself. I have started menu planning and making my shopping list together and have found it has saved me loads. I try not to waste anything but if I do, it's probably only pence and I shop carefully and get things on offer so try not to give myself a hard time. If you make any 'mistakes' or things don't go as you'd hoped, just learn for next time, don't get upset.
My mum used to say ' will someone come and knock on your door and give you a fiver for doing it' when I would get stressed out with windows not cleaned or something that can really wait.
I also try and seize the day, a lot of the pressures on us all today to be good and succeed are awful. We are who we are and be true to yourself. No-one is perfect. I lost my Mum suddenly last year and have learnt so much about myself and life since then. It has brought home to me what's important and what's not.
I hope you are getting sorted slowly, do one thing at a time, too much too soon won't work.
We are adapting to living on a reduced income, so am learning tons of stuff off this site. Keep a diary/list of what you achieve each week and you will see how far you've come in a few months.
I also keep a to-do list on the table and it really helps me take advantage of whatever mood I'm in. I would be lost without it.
Make sure you get a nice bubbly bath with some drops of lavender in it. It's chills me out and isn't expensive!
Good Luck and be nice to yourself. Life is too short to be anything else.A penny saved is one you don't have to earn! :wave:0
