Account upgrade and Debit card

Recently upgraded a LloydsTSB account to Gold Vantage status and received a gold Visa debit card.
I have re-evalauted this decision and believe I don't need to be spending £12 a month for this account.
If I downgrade the account back to a silver (or even normal) account, will me gold debit card still work afterwards?
Cheers

It will still be gold in colour but I'd imagine you'd lose any "benefits" the subsciption brings, usually shizzle like mobile phone insurance"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Thanks - all I wanted was the gold looking card. I know it's silly.
Too many people walking around with the green 2012 card it annoys me.
I saw an American bloke the other day - his US bank debit card had is photo on it.
UK banks hould adopt that to limit fraud - probably wouldn't do much for online fraud.0 -
There is the chance they'll just reissue you with a bland old card LOL"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

I can confirm - they will issue a bland green card within 30 days.
I still have in my collection a green, gold, platinum, and black (premier) LTSB VISA debit carrd. The platinum one by far looks the best.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

The card will return to green within a month. Gold coloured cards are for gold account customers.0 -

They did some years ago, I had an RBS Highline debit card which had my photo on it in 1992/93 era
Dunno why they got rid of that idea...0 -
RBS used to put photos on the reverse of the card below the signature strip (it was optional) and this was back in the days before chip and pin and so every in theory had to look at it to check the signature matched.Bravehearted wrote: »UK banks hould adopt that to limit fraud
That said, I and my now long ago ex accidentally mixed up cards and it took over a week of using them for anyone to comment that the photo and the person didn't match (even though different sex, race, skin colour, hair colour, hair length etc etc etc)0 -

I'm sure the banks play on this card colour stuff, I'm happy with the green one if it's free. Though what they will replace this with in 2013 is anyone's guess, but mine goes upto 2014.
What you pay for to get a nice gold, platinum or black card is not worth the extra monthly fees in my opinion.0
