Angry with Thomson

I laid a deposit down for my wedding plus i took out wedding insurance as i was told if anything was to happy and i had to cancel i could get my money back.
After this i find out im pregnant with my 3rd, i rang them up to explain i was going to have to cancel and i asked if i could transfur to flights, she said that was fine all we had to pay was admin per person.
I rang back today and spoke to a different woman who tells me i cant and i will gave to book a package holiday and the cheapest one is £1500 for a family of 4.
The deposit is only £590 but still its still money !!!
Can anyone help?

Yes, Insurance is to cover events that could not be anticipated. Well if you .......... the result cannot be totally unexpected, especially if you've already had two. Can't see how you can blame the travel company for this one.
What does the insurance policy wording say exactly?

    These are Thomson's rules

"For uncomplicated single pregnancies, return travel with Thomson Airways must be completed by 36 weeks for shorthaul, and 34 weeks for long haul."

I'm not trying to be unhelpful just trying to find out why why you are "angry with Tomsons" and perhaps come up with a few suggestions.

Is the trip covered by wedding insurance or normal travel insurance?

So it's not the case you'll be too far gone to travel but you just don't want to go once you have the newborn?

You will have to check your WEDDING insurance to check if it covers overseas and what it considers a valid reason to cancel or postpone the wedding,

I'm not sure i understand, are you getting married abroad? why do you need to cancel if your not pregnant and are able to fly when the wedding should be. If you've booked a package holiday then you can only transfer to another package and not just flights. Have you asked the insurance company if you can claim on the insurance and if not why not.

I disassociate myself and my comments from FingUseless's post, the OP has the right to her own lifestyle choices.
  • You should have got married BEFORE you had children, then you wouldn't be in this predicament. (And your children would have the benefit of a stable family life).

    How is this helpful?

Also, marriage doesn't equal a stable family life - it's just a piece of paper and have you not seen the divorce rates?
