Is it safe to say that any insurer will give 30% or close to saving with 1 years no claim, compared to 0 years?

I ask this because I am using confused.com etc to find policys with 0 NCB with the expectation of a 30% refund later on in the year.

Screentrade (NIG) my existing insurer, said that I will get a 30% refund (approx £400) when the existing claim is closed in my favour.

Not at all.... many insurers give people with a good driving history but no NCD an introductory offer discount in the first year. With some insurers this discount can be greater than the discount for 1 years NCD.

Thanks Astaroth. I will phone some of the insurers directly and ask.
