Electrician or handyman?

Hi
Hope you can advise...
I want to replace some wall mounted convection heaters- basically just with the same, in the same locations, wired into the existing sockets (the type that have a button on, with no holes- sorry don't know the proper term
)
Does this require a qualified electrician, or would it be suitable for a general handyman? I'm not asking because I'm cheap, but because one of the heaters has come off the wall slightly (obviously been leant on, before I owned the flat), leaving holes in the plasterboard, and so will require the fixtures to be moved and a minor repair/ plaster job. It would be easier to use a single individual.
Also, I guess a specialist electrician won't want to fit the new wall mounts for all the heaters???
Any advice appreciated.
Ta very much

Handyman will be fine - just make sure he knows how to wire a plug! Wiring a heater is almost the same as wiring a plug.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0

Why would you need an NICEIC ceritifcate to replace a heater? Are you suggesting people shouldn't change a light switch without calling out a qualified electrician?Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0

I'm not suggesting anything...sorry, just showing my own ignorance.
Personally I couldn't change a light switch- or at least wouldn't feel comfortable doing so0 -

So no need for a NICEIC (sic?) certificate for these types of minor electrical works?
It's not even a minor works, as there is no change to the fixed wiring.
However a responsible person would carry out a basic check to make sure that eg the earth in the connection unit is actually earthed, etc.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

switched fused connection unit
They do have a fuse, don't they?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
^ Yes, should be on their own fused-spur and not wired directly into a socket.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0
