Hi

Please help. I got my renewal through and it tells me I will be paid on the 1st August then every four weeks. This is fine and I understand this, however, I have received a payment today? Is this an extra payment, or an earlier than usual payment from the one expected August as I have already had one earlier this month for July?

Thanks all.

I have just seen another post on here where someone has had a payment today, they also said it was very unusual to get a payment on Friday - so maybe they are trying to catchup with all the claims and paying when they can?

  • I also have had my monday payments today and i think its down to the scottish bank holiday on monday. Not sure why this effects us in england but its happened before x

It is a bank holiday in Scotland so whenever there is a bank holiday anywhere in the UK the payment will be made earlier. There is a list of all bank hols on the official hmrc website!
