NCP Parking Ticket Stanmore Station £75!!!

It's been a tough day! I've just got back to my car after a 14 hour day to find a £75 ticket from NCP. I park at Stanmore station every day and faithfully pay my £4.50 ticket but today I was distracted by a call about my mum being in hospital and I ran through the car park and jumped on the train whilst on the phone to the hospital. I'm gutted about the parking ticket. The car is not mine and is registered to my ex-husband who is kindly letting me use it at the moment. Can I get some advice - I really can't afford to pay it!! Thanks.

Does the ticket quote Railway bye-law 14 and say anything about Magistrates courts?
These Railway car park tickets are confusing as they sometimes quote they are issued under bye-law 14 but are actually private.
Private you could ignore. Official bye-law 14 [However very very rare] would need dealing with.0 -
I'm not sure if railway bylaw 14 would apply in this case as Stanmore is actually a London Underground Station. In general unless the ticket mentions Transport for London (TfL) bylaws, I would agree that it would be safe enough to ignore.0

It looks like the same animal under a different name.

Hi, It's a PCN. It does not mention any bylaws, just states that it was issued at Stanmore Station. It references NCP throughout and threatens to commence collection procedures if not paid in 28 days and will get car details from the DVLA. I have to park there again tomorrow so I might read the T&C's on the notice board that's up there first. £75 is a lot of money and I wish I was able to boycott their carpark from now on!0

Make sure you pay before you read as you don't want to get a ticket do you?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Just because it says PCN doesn't mean it's official - those letters on a parking invoice could mean anything (Pay Crooks Now?), so you need to answer the other posters' questions about whether byelaws are mentioned.0 -
I will check their notice board when I am there tomorrow to see if by laws are mentioned. The ticket definitely does NOT mention by laws. It's not my car which is why I wondered if the car owner has a right to decline paying the ticket. I even say hi to the bloke who walks around checking for tickets - used to feel sorry for him walking up and down that awful car park in the sun, rain and snow. :-00
