Listing item as "Private"?

I subscibed to Maxim magazine last year, from the Quick! Grabbit while you can Forum. Was supposed to be a *bargain* 50p a copy or something for 2 years, but the magazine is so stupid, i wish i had never bothered. Anyway, they keep sending these DVD's (softcore) and i'd like to get rid of them on eBay....even 99p + postage is better than the bin. I've seen people listing items as "Private" on eBay, even a Bluetooth Doggle i bought the other day was "Private". How do i use this so i don't have the DVD listed in any feedback with my regular lines?
Thanks

I dont know if its something you've considered but some people think its suss when they see a whole bunch of items sold as 'private' -- they still get listed with your other stuff I think but it will make people surious as to what you have sold that is private....?? could make it look more suss than it actually is?
Maybe you could set up another selling ID just for these items??

Just simply tick the private box when listing the item for sale - it is near price and buy it now price I think. Remember the item will still show up on your completed listings though. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

Be careful, ebay UK strictly prohibit the selling of any adult items. The competition is quite fierce so a competitor is bound to turn you in.
If you are going to chance it list it on a short auction so that it doesn't have a chance to get reported and pulled, otherwise you'll get a warning on your account.

I think setting up another ID would be the best way to sell this type of item. I've got 264 +ve feedback, selling mostly military type items, so i don't think these DVD's would look right. But, is it against eBay rules to have 2 ID's? Do they do a trace on your home address and credit card, because i'll have to register a credit card to sell (could use a different one).

You're correct, not worth the hassle to sell through my regular a/c. Perhaps the bin is the best place for it!0 -
have you tried some of the other smaller auction sites........ they might have adult sections......smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

You can have as many accounts as you want....as long as they don't bid on each other's auctions. You just need a seperate email for each account.0
