Sold an item on 25th, paid for later that day. Booked courier that evening to collect from me on 26th.
(My listing states that I post the following working day and delivery on Couriered items takes 4-6 days. Even though 99% of them get delivered within 2-3 days)
Anyway, today (28th) I get a snotty message asking where the item is...!
Tracking shows it on the van and out for delivery !!!!!!.

You must get your little crystal ball out & then you could have anticipated this sale & got it delivered for the day they paid, impatient buyers?
Sounds more like a rubbish seller to me. (That is a funny, tongue in cheek response, by the way).
By the way how do you find council run MOT centres?0

what you need is one of those magical couriers that collect within seconds of the payment and then delivers the item seconds later :think:0

Contact your local or neighbouring Council.
As they don't do repairs, they have no reason to fail the car, unless it is dangerous.
There is usually a loong waiting time though.

Or switch away from using MyHermes etc to a decent courier or at least add a faster delivery option. This is a very slow service from a courier. Normally they are next day or 48 hour services.harveybobbles wrote: »(My listing states that I post the following working day and delivery on Couriered items takes 4-6 days. Even though 99% of them get delivered within 2-3 days)
I don't think it is that unreasonable to politely enquire on Thursday after buying on Monday if you have paid for a courier service.0

not if you use myhermes they just offer a 2/3 day delivery service0

Yes, but if you say you are delivering by courier it does tend to suggest a quick delivery. Is my Hermes very cheap? If not I would use someone else with a 24h/48h service.
 prices exclude VAT
 0-1 KG £2.75 all the way to 10-15KG £6.99
they also say this on their sitemyHermes is the perfect shipping partner for eBay sellers.
eBay UK has changed its shipping classifications so that everytime you send something it has to be classified into Economy (4-6 days) / Standard (2-3 days) or Express (Next Day).
myHermes has the perfect Economy 4-6 day solution - we can save you time and money and improve your customer satisfaction, here's how:- No more post office queues, we will collect from your door
- No need to wait in, simply tell us your safe place
- No more unhappy customers telling you they had to collect their delivery from a sorting office - ask your customer for their safe place to ensure they get their parcel first time.

I would never assume a Courier meant the item would be delivered quickly, unless it said 24 hour delivery in the description somewhere..0

A courier service just means a Door to Door collection and delivery of an item. this does not mean they will get it quicker unless you pay for their 24 hrs delivery service0
