the loud music was assessed and was above the accepted limits by a lot! Then came the barking dog (which is not allowed in the premises; and they got away with it by saying they had had the dog before the estate changed from council to housing association) that the environmental health departm. didn't want to deal with. The passed the ball to ha and they returned it to them.

You should be careful about your judgment and opinions. This is not a passtime. Here people need advice and support.

You are saying that the noise nuisance has not been acted on. You say you have dealt with the Housing Association, Environmental Health and the Housing Ombudsman and that they failed to deal with your complaint - but you don't say how. You state that the you are not hopeful of getting a priority banding for moving. You also say that the noise has lessened.

I have made the judgement that the nuisance is not as bad as you think based on the above facts that you gave us. Given you have approached every available body and the noise nuisance has decreased it is safe to assume that although there is still some noise it is not as bad as it was. If it were, it reasonable to assume that one of the official bodies you complained to would have dealt with it. If you feel that they haven't dealt with your complaints fairly then you need to deal with it as a separate issue. As I said earlier, some noise is inevitable when living cheek to jowl with your neighbours. I live in a relatively quiet cu de sac and there is still some noise from the neighbours.

You said that you felt you haven't enough points to be moved. I agreed. You asked what you could do. I advised you of your options. It is a fact that your medical problems are not sufficient to be moved on medical grounds. You may not like that, but that is tough.

I have given you advice. You clearly don't like my advice, but it good, solid advice nonetheless. If you want support then buy an uplifting bra.

Hello Chiesa, I'm just wondering if it is worth approaching the neighbours or at least asking for a third party to try help? Its horrible living with someone else's noise. If that doesn't help ......

I would also be making my local Councillor, Neighbourhood PCSO, local paper, radio & MP aware of this. You shouldn't have to live with this. Are your other neighbours in any residents organisation that you could join (or maybe set up). I think the Housing Associaton are bound to help you set one up if one doesn't already exist. Chances are it is affecting more than yourself. Don't let them drive you out. Its a long hard road but this way you may get it changed for the good for everyone.
I hope you get something sorted.
