Saving money with cookers

Hi Alex,
The only ones that come to mind are;
- Turning the oven off a few minutes before the scheduled cooking time is finished - it will retain the heat, still cooking the food.
- When cooking, do not open the door when cooking any more than is really needed.
Hobs;
- Always try and use a pan that covers the full pad.
- Boil the water using a kettle, then transfer into pan on hob.
- Always use a lid.
- If gas, adjust the gas so it is not spilling to the side of the pan.
Oh and remember to turn it off :-) ... that's a personal habit of mine!
I'll come back if I can think of any more.

When cooking on the hob, only use sufficient water to cover your vegetables, same applies when having a bath.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

On the hob, consider using a steamer for veggies so you may be able to reduce the number of pans actually on the heat.0
