please help me before I top myself!!!

Im sorry if this is in the wrong place but I am at my wits end. Can someone helo me set up my equipment. I have a phillips tv, a panasonic ex25 recordable dvd player, a sky + box and a video recorder.

TV - a hole with AERIAL over it and 2 scart holes one with (external 1) and the other with (external 2 - VHS audio) written on them.

DVD recorder - 2 holes one with RF out and one with RF in written on them and 2 scart holes. one with AV1 (TV) and the other with av2 EXT on it.

SKY + box - one hole with RF out on it and 2 scart holes one with VCR scart and the other with TV scart. There are lots of other things but they are all screwed in with nuts and bolts?????!!!

Video recorder - Antenna hole IN and antenna hole OUT. 2 scart holes one with Euro AVdecoder on it and the other with euro av video on it.

I have 3 scart leads and lots of other leads that I dont really know what to do with and am desperate to get this thing upand running before the whole lot goes out the window.

I would like to be able to record things from my sky + box onto dvd discs and also to copy old videos onto disc.

COuld someone please tell me what goes where etc?? Thank you so much

A very stupid woman

Using scart cables connect like this.

Sky+ TV out to DVDR AV2
    DVDR AV1 to TV AV1
    Sky+ VCR OUT to VCR

    RF Leads

Aerial connection(assuming you have one) to DVDR RF In
DVDR RF OUT to VCR RF IN
    VCR RF OUT to TV

Don't worry about it - a lot have made the same assumption. ;)

Have you managed to get your aerial problem sorted yet?

Glad to hear you've got everything working now.

At the moment you won't be able to record from VHS onto DVD as it's not connected in any way. The easiest way would be to temporarily connect a scart cable from the VCR to AV2 on the DVDR(you would need to disconnect the scart from the Sky+ box to do this)

You may not be able to do it at all if the tapes are bought tapes as the macrovision copyright will not allow it. If it's your own recordings it should be possible.
