Hello,
Does anyone have any recommendations for plumbers in Oxford? I'd like to have my bathroom refurbished and am in the process of acquiring quotes - if anyone has any personal recommendations rather than me relying on Google that'd be great.

How would you know that the person posting a recommendation on here is not an unscrupulous plumber recommending themselves?0

Have you considered a company review website for an unbiased ranking on companies? I am from the U.S. and we have a service called Angie's List that has a list of companies who sign up and are reviewed by users. I believe they are available in Europe as well. If not, perhaps there is a similar service that is worth taking a look at? The site is reputable because it charges users a small fee to register. That gets out the usually negatively-charged biases toward a company and also limits fraudulent posts by the plumbers themselves. Once registered, you can post reviews about a company and view reviews others have made on companies.
I know contracted companies such as plumbers, roofers, landscaping, etc. are hard to tell the honest from fraudulent/cheap until the job is done, so a review website definitely gives you an air of confidence in your choice. I have used these sites in the past when hiring contractors. Currently I am involved in a DIY project but saw your thread and figured I would offer some advice because I know how much of a pain it is to find quality contractors.
Best of luck!0
