They should provide the numbers(or how they will be calculated) with(or before) the official notice of termination.

How long have you neen there?
7yrs 8 months
I have had some numbers but they are still being assessed by someone higher than HR.
Would I expect the numbers given to be near enough my final offer?
thanks

Yes probably - if its statutory terms then its a fairly simple calculation you can do it yoiurself I'm sure if you google redundancy calculator you'll find one. If its enhanced contractual terms then without knowing what they are we can't say. The fact that you're calling it an 'offer' suggests you have a choice - is that the case? If so then the terms may be even more variable.
In any case, the numbers can't be finally confirmed until you actually go. Your redundancy could be rescinded at any time up to the last day, or you could find, or be found, suitable alternative employment, for example.0 -
OK What have you been offered?
Have you been given notice of termination
If yes when? what was in the notice.0 -

Hi, I haven't been offered anything.... I got a scrappy bit of paper with a redundancy estimate on. The calculations were correct for 7yrs continuous work but I have been with them for 7yrs 8 months. I have been given notice of termination 12 weeks before the 31st August. I think most things are correct but I'm anxiuos and want it done and dusted. Do I have to wait until August 31st until I know that I will definately be redundant?

Fraid so. The calculation is done on complete years only, so unless you go over 8 years the estimate is likely to be accurate.0
