sims problems

Does anyone either know about the various sims packages or knows of a site that might be able to help?
Son has sims 2 loaded and we are trying to load nightlife and university but to no avail. Can anyone help?

    That's funny Annie, I was just about to post a Sims 2 question as well. Sorry I can't answer your query but hopefully there will be someone who can help both of us.

    DD has Sims 2 installed, and we have successfully added Glamour Life, Family Fun Pack and Festive Holiday stuff.

    But we have tried to instal Sims 2 Pets twice, only to reach 97% installed then we get this message:

    Unable to transfer the file 'D:\TSData\CONTROL\control).dat' from the media.

    Can anyone help, is it a disk problem or lack of PC capacity? We have Windows XP running on a 2 year old PC.
