Hi all
Hoping someone can help!
We are or were in the process of wanting to return some faulty furniture for a refund from the above company. Which at first the company was arranging. However, I have received an email today saying that the company is now in liquidation.
Do I still have a right to a refund if I am stuck with a faulty item and if so who from?
The item is over £500 and we paid by credit card.
Thanks

Happily you're wrong....they paid by credit card.
Thanks for the help. After the initial panic, I too have found that I can use Section 75, indeed the liquidators are providing all the info I need to make the claim from the credit card company.
I can't imagine it will be resolved any time soon so it will mean eating off dinner trays for the time being!!:)0 -

It doesn't matter that the company cannot refund me because under section 75 I can claim direct from the credit card company as they are equally liable. No money comes from the company we bought from.
Thanks for your time anyway.0 -

Completely irrelevant. The credit card company has equal liability with the supplier. So even if the merchants accounts are closed/frozen the card company is still liable.
