It was amazing but to be truthful also terrifying. We were walking and camping in Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe - among lions, elephants, buffalo etc. I spent most of the time praying NOT to see the wildlife.

Awww I wanna go and play with the animals! :( :rotfl:

That is something I'm definately gonna do before I'm 30. I hope! :p

I'm sure you'll do it. I travelled loads in my 20s, then my debt problems began.... Now I'm hoping to travel again before I'm 50.

Last time I was asked if I was 18, was when I was 16...

I hope you're a good shot - they're usually armed with AK-47's, and you usually are not...

Age-related woes........ I looked 18 when I was 13, cos I was tall and ....big.... and I looked like that till I was about 35, then my looks suddenly started to catch up with my actual age.... very sad.

But safari! Fantastic, maybe thats one of the benefits of not being 18 any more. I went to Zimbabwe too, my family are farmers out there. I mostly stayed on the tobacco farms, but I had a couple of days safari, just me and a guide and his wife and daughter. Motorised, so no scary walking. We saw some wonderful things, heard lion in the distance, and one visual thats stayed with me is as we were leaving at night, covered in blankets (the temperature plummets) - we saw all these baboons that had climbed into the electricity pylons. They twigged years ago - leopards can climb trees, but not pylons, so the baboons are much safer up there!
