    Lovely picture!

They're actually really beautiful creatures when you see them up close. You just tend to see them as all legs! :rotfl:

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Did you take it as a compliment? :D

Eventually. Hubby reckoned it was a compliment and he was delighted.

I went to see my Gran the following day and a regular visitor of hers asked did I not have school that day, school at 30??

I've actually seen them very close up in the wild (boast boast).

I was on a walking safari in Zimbabwe, the guide wanted photos for his brochure to show how close punters got to the wildlife. Too close for comfort in my case, I was well within kicking distance. But they are indeed beautiful and it's wonderful to see them running in their strange slow-motion style.

I am sooooo jealous. That is one thing I want to do more than anything in the world, go on safari. :o

I bet it was the most amazing thing ever wasn't it? :j

It was amazing but to be truthful also terrifying. We were walking and camping in Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe - among lions, elephants, buffalo etc. I spent most of the time praying NOT to see the wildlife.
