When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.!
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning guys  its nerve wracking starting the thread at this time - constantly checking no-one else has started us off!

Morning all!!
Enjoying a day at home! today - with the exception of taking the kids to swimming club!
Finished Happy Potter - the order of the phoenix last night ! The biggest of the 7 books! Just two more to go. Made a start on No 6 this morning!
Today for me
- Lunch from stores - omelette for me and crackers for the kids
- Clean the kitchen - wash the floor well as DD2 spilt milk everywhere this morning
- Dinner - Quorn burgers and chips. Not completely from stores as OH needs to get rolls and potatoes to make chips
- Get OH to look through his bank statement to see what he has spent on food
- Look on ebay for whether some of our CD singles will go for any money. I expect 90% of them will be binned.
- Wash kids hair at swimming
- Start sorting out DD2's room! Take everything out onto the landing and sort it all back in!!
- NSD today. Will entertain the kids setting them up with craft activities and watching a film.
Got an email to say they have accepted all of my CD's at Music magpie and are sending me a cheque for £41.24. I wasnt sure what to use it for but then thought it may be good to use for summer hols activities.
I hope everyone is well
Stitchy - i hope you made it into work- though i would imagine going on the open road would be a lot more fun!!Orange Fairy
