I just realised this morning that my mortgage money was available a whole week early, which meant that I wasn't dashing to the bank on the first to put money in and it means that I shelled out an extra £300 to Barclaycard on the 2nd and I'm about to chuck another £300.00 at it this week. It's funny how this has really added up.
Hope that made sense!0 -
haha that did confuse me but I got the bit where you managed an extra £300 off your mortgage - well done :j
I'm going to have some spends today, I need to pay for a train ticket for my son who's going to visit my daughter at Uni - £13, I have had a naughty moment and bought a dress off ebay for £8 - but it is a gorgeous Wallis dress so it's a bargain and then I'm off to the Chemist where I may just empty the entire contents of my purse on cold rememdies and sleeping tabletsNot a very succesful day then really so I might as well finish it off with a very small top up shop to get us through to the weekend.
Hope you have a good day.0 -

I KNOW! It's just irresponsible on my part and believe me, I wrestled long and hard with my concience before I hit the 'buy it now' button on that purchase I can tell you. :rotfl:
In other news, I reconciled against the bank last night and everything has been paid for the month. I'm not anticipating any suprises for the rest of the month and it's a little under 16 days to payday. I have £7 in coins in my purse and enough food in the cupboard for the next 2 weeks. The mini firewyrms have new uniform and are happily traipsing off to school and I received the deeds to my new home in the post last night. Work are providing bacon butties for lunch today and the elder FireWyrm is comming over to me for dinner on Sunday which means no petrol spend until Monday. I have more than half a tank left which will do for next week until I go off on holiday on the 20th. It's a delicate balancing act this month and next because of the split between the two houses, but it's looking right good for November and December. I'm already out from under the overdraft as of this month.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Hi guys, I know I've arrived late (always do) but can I join you for the next 3 weeks to take us to end Sept??
I promise not to be disruptive*No debts*0 -
Could you not promise to be disruptive:p.
Course you can join! It's scarily addictive. I should have nothing to pay for until Tuesday!0 -
Ok ok, I promise to be disruptive (I'll say anything to fit in!!!)
Ok then, here we go... No Starbucks, no magazines, no M&S sarnies, no quick glass of wine at the pub on the way home and no 99p DVDs from Amazon (my personal weakness) IN FACT I might go through my big DVD collection and see if there is anything I can eBay so might even make some money before the end of Sept!!*No debts*0 -
Good plan. I've cut out magazines and books:(. Mags I can live without, books....well I do have about 80 waiting to be read so really not much of an excuse to indulge! My OH buys the alcohol, so I'm gonna win on that one:p. DVDs - probably buy about one a year - attention span of a fruitfly so I can never sit and watch telly anyway.
sharronej let me off on the going out expenditure:o. I would really really miss that and I do budget for it every week. It did really make a difference though last month even though I didn't completely adhere to the principles.
Best of luck Oregon0 -
Do you have a local library near yOu??*No debts*0
