what do people make of the lovemoney.com article on switching

Recently, lovemoney.com have written an article (http://www.lovemoney.com/news/household-bills/gas-and-electricity/12417/big-energy-hikes-nows-the-time-to-switch) arguing for switching gas and electricity suppliers before the big 6 have switched. To me, its a bit counter intuitive since you will surely just switch to a supplier who haven't raised their prices yet, but I cannot deny they have presented a good argument but am still unsure. What is the consensus view?

The idea of switching now is to switch to a fixed price tariff, something which that article fails to mention..

    Talk about missing the point..
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
  • Or talk about going hell for leather for the commission payments. Lovemoney seem to regularly have articles stating 'NOW' is the time to switch. ;)
