A few more eb*y sales posted today and so I'm declaring at £170.31. I've had quite a few small sales recently and my 'box of stuff' has gone down quite a bit including some things I thought I was NEVER going to shift.
Today's task is to find 10 new items to list tomorrow..used up my August free 99ps a while ago!

    Well Done Everybody for August!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

I can't believe it is the end of August already! It seems like no time since i was wondering how on earth i was going to make an extra £310 over the month and here i am not quite believing that i made an extra £839.22!!!! :T

My extra earnings since my last post were:

Ebay - I made some silly mistakes with the postage costs of the items i sold underestimating the cost by £2.81 :( I managed to make a mistake with all of them because i didn't weigh the items - Lesson learned with that! At least i did still make a few pounds - balance increased by £4.34!

I did manage to do 2 car boot sales on Saturday adding another £72.15 to my total, and despite the storm brewing on Sunday i did another one then too adding a further £105.50 :) I have also slept a lot since then to get over it all LOL!

I have also managed to pay over £1200 off my debts this month - mostly thanks to this challenge :j Its really made a huge difference to the way i am thinking about my debts - they are still a mountain but no longer seems quite so insurmountable......

Strangely i am now looking forward to working on debt mountain again in September :rotfl:

One final thing i would like to say: Well done to everyone who took part in this challenge - i have noticed a few people who seem to be a bit down about not meeting their target this month, but i think we all did amazingly well!!! Its all too easy to think about what we didn't achieve when missing a target rather than what we did achieve - so for anyone who made any extra money this month :T:T:T

Good luck for next month! :D

Just checked the bank and have been paid the £11.75 from one of the survey companys. Off on holiday tonight so looks like I've failed miserably this month!
On the upside I'm waiting for a couple of things which should arrive next month to make up for the time I'm away.

    I declared too soon!
I had 1 final tiny sale on eb*y - I now have nothing listed!

Then T*sco emailed me to say that my grocery delivery was cancelled due to staff shortages. After a bit of too-ing and fro-ing during which it turned out they couldn't reschedule my delivery as they'd managed to erase it from the system, they sent me £15 worth of evouchers!

So I'll declare again at £186.11.
But who knows what the day will bring!

Lolly, I used to work for No7 back in the day and its a well known fact that there are next to no difference between No7 and 17. They are both Boots products but packagaged differently ;) The same goes for No7 skincare and Boots Time Delay. No7 Protect and Perfect is the same product as Time Delay Night Serum only a lot cheaper! Next time you have a voucher, I reccommend No7 Concelear- tis YSL Touche Eclait in disguise...!

Oooohhhhhh! Thanks Nat! :D TBH, I've never even looked at the 17 range before, I always had the impression that it was the 'kids range', lol. I'll definitely be trying it the next time I need to stock up. I love the Protect and Perfect serum so will definitely try the Time Delay one. They sometimes have vouchers for the Time Delay stuff so will try and buy some then. The No 7 concealer is another favourite, and it now sounds like a complete bargain if it's just like Touche Eclait!

I've had quite a frugal few days which has helped the finances. £15 for MS reached my account today so updating my total and declaring my August total as £206.28 :j:j:j

See you all in the September thread!
