    Hey Everyone,

Feeling very jealous of everyone making the most of the free listings, lol. REALLY need to do some ebaying, but it will be Sept now before I get to do any :(

I've been doing a few surveys and signed up to the McCains site (thanks for the info Aesop!), won't see any money from them this month though.

Well I have £1.50 to add. Took DS1 to the hospital this afternoon - stopped off to get change for the car park on the way, but it turned out to be free parking! :T There was a fire there a couple of months ago and they let people have free parking due to the hassle of moved departments, no cafe, etc. The hospital is pretty much back to normal now though so didn't expect it to still be free.
Here's hoping it continues for another month or so as DS2 has 5 appointments coming up

Hmm, I think I may also have enough points for a Shop and Scan voucher after doing the diary each day. Will check now...

    (£132.43/£310)

    Debt-free and Proud!
I have just returned from town where i went into the bank and paid another £200 off my mortgage arrears!!!! I really did not think it was possible to even pay £50 a month off this debt before i started my £10 per day challenge :) So far this month though i have paid £278 off it and am now down to owing £123.84..... I am not sure there are words to express how happy i am right now - I feel like a mouse in a cheese factory :rotfl:

I also finally listed some things on ebay and sold a few bits giving me a profit of £12.05

I got a payment of 11p through for a PTC arrangement and nabbed a wee 9p from OHP

My overall total is now £388.82 for August hurray!!!!

Thanks to everyone for the well dones you posted for me too - i have just seen them :T

I just want to say a very sincere thank you to everyone posting their progress on here as well - it has really really helped me to start getting back in control of my debts and to help me stay motivated. To anyone lurking and reading without posting yet - don't be scared, this challenge is brilliant and the support even better ;)

Good luck to everyone planning a wee earner over the weekend - i'm hoping to do another car boot and get some bits onto ebay again!

I read a couple of them and am already crying.

That poor boy who was homeless for 8 years! 13 years old and homeless!

and then to not be given basics, ie a pot and pan, a kettle, a plate, a knife and fork.

Makes you wonder what this world is coming to when we can help but not help with the most basic of items. Bring back woolies! Maybe cheap but at least you could stock up on basics.

I would like to say am over the moon for finally being back in the black with the nursery! I will no longer be ashamed of walking in there everyday knowing I owed them money.

it touched a nerve with me too when I first saw it, opening those doors in my head and remembering those memories was hard to do.... anything for MSE! :D

Im glad I did it, it brought me back to earth. I was walking around Tesco and I picked up an loaf of bread for 60p. Then I saw the value bread for 47p. Last week I did the same thing and opted for the 60p loaf thinking 'Its only 13p difference'. But today I thought, '13p could of made the difference in me having heating in winter for an hour.' I've blocked out my past in that respect but it was only 2 years ago and I could easily be back in that position. Maybe I should reflect more often...
