Hi guys, I've been using this site for a few months, and just spotted this challenge. Looks like a great idea, and I may well start trying to do this on my own (a bit sensitive at the moment at the idea of public failure if it doesn't work). Not officially signing up as it's halfway through the month, but it's at least encouraged me to keep a track of what I'm getting in 'extra' from surveys and stuff though.
What I have to ask though, is how do you keep going, and not lose enthusiasm for it?If it rains, it rains.

Hi & Welcome SS Saver...
As you may have seen, I don't post hugely and even rarer to individual posts... but I didn't want to read n run, so to speak - I know it's always hard when you're a newbie & especially when it's your very 1st post !!
I'm sure lots of the Gang will respond with tips, but I would certainly suggest only starting with a small amount .. but one that will make you stretch a bit ... until you get into stride. Many of the Gang, do differing amounts so don't feel pressured into it having to be £10.
Reading some of the older previous threads will also help,, not only with ideas, but also you'll see how much support everyone gives to each other.
One of the regulars on the debt diary section - said they motivated themselves by viewing debt-busting as a competition with themselves - to see how quickly they could make it go away!!
Find what works for you, and join in ... they don't bite really
