A pesty frog seems to have set up home in my garage.

I loathe the damn things and cannot bear to touch it. How can I get rid of it?

Are there any chemicals you can use or repellents?

Thanks

Trap it in a box and let it go somewhere else. Don't use chemicals to get rid of it :(

    What!

You may loathe them but this is best form of slug control on the planet and will take out flies as well.

Ask someone who like frogs to relocate it.

Its unlikely to be a frog anyway - more likely a toad.

I'd have it like a shot - he can join the others and the slow worms living round my compost bins.

I suspect if you leave him an obvious escape route to a door and remove any chance of him hiding in the garage whilst you have plenty of light etc in there, he will soon find his own way out. That is of course assuming that you can't bear to pick it up even with a pair of gloves on.

I'm sure the OP can find someone, even if they are a young kid, who will happily pick up the toad for them.

    Please don't use chemicals!

If you have a long handled (soft head) brush and make sweeping motions near to it, it will leap to the nearest exit: it's far more afraid of you than you are of it ;)

Or a chicken, our chooks are sods for toads and frogs-we had to have a froggy burial service a couple of months ago when the girls caught them pecking away at some poor little mr freddo.

I love frogs and toads, brilliant for slugs and snails, what with them the chickens and the hedgehog which lives behind the compost bin we have barely seen a slug this year.

Why not just leave it be? It's not like you have to kiss it every night, it probably loathes you much more than you loathe it. Just ignore it. It will soon be on it's way.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
