Cashing In

Perhaps this should be in the ebay section, but is it just me or have there been a sudden deluge of Amy Winehouse items, notably cd's and vinyl records appearing on ebay over the weekend?

They seem to be attracting plenty of bids so why not cash in eh?

Not that I would be so tasteless to comment on Amy Winehouse - but when a prominent American music industry mogul was told by his secretary that Elvis was dead, he instantly replied:- "Good career move !"

I have no problems with people selling meomorabilia after a death, in fact after really fmaous people die, like Princess Diana or Michael Jackson there are usually hundreds of 'official' items launched to cash in.

Fair point Soolin. I'm not particularly a fan, but if I possessed any memorabilia I wouldnt really want to part with it for a quick buck. It just struck me as somewhat tawdry.

Mind you, some people are probably also buying it in the hope of a profitable re-sale.
