Nat West refuse bank giro payments

I have a current account with Nat West and a barclaycard. When I recieve my barclaycard bill I prefer to pay over the counter filling in the bank giro credit slip and paying with either cash or cheque or both. As my partner has a barclay card on my account she sometimes gives me a coop bank cheque to cover her spending.…

Thanks madgagoo, I am sure it is an anti-fraud measure. I could go into all the way you can commit fraud with a BCG but I am not going to do it here, for obvious reasons.

the link I posted is pretty clear on the cheque needing to be written on the bank you make the credit account or that bank holds the credit card company's etc. suspense account.
